If you ride a Brompton, you already know: anything you add has to play nicely with the fold. Here’s a simple, proven way to mount a Loud Mini so it stays tidy and fold-friendly.
The setup
1) Mount the horn on the left side (stem/bar area).
This keeps the horn positioned nicely when folded—typically lower to the ground—which helps the folded bike feel more stable on public transport.
2) Route and secure the cable slack at the stem.
Wrap/tie the excess cable neatly around the stem at the spot where contact could otherwise happen. This keeps the fold clean and prevents snagging.
Quick fold check
After mounting, do one slow test fold and confirm:
- No pinching or snagging of the cable through the fold
- The horn clears the frame through the folding motion
And here is a picture with the handlebar folded and the horn nestled in there nicely.

Big thanks to Jakub Sobiecki for the photos and for sharing the details of his setup.
As a bonus --- it is possible to fit the Loud Mini in the middle of the U-style Brompton but we recommend hanging it below instead.
